Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição, the manager of Al-Ittihad, has declared that competing for fifth place in the Saudi Roshn League does not align with the club’s and its supporters’ aspirations. He stressed that the team must come to terms with the current circumstances and strive to conclude the season on a high note. His remarks followed Al-Ittihad’s 2-1 victory over Damac in the 32nd round of the league. Conceição acknowledged that the encounter with Damac was challenging, particularly given the mounting pressures typical of the season’s late stages. He also pointed out that Al-Ittihad has encountered numerous issues throughout the season that have impacted their performance, but the immediate priority is to manage the present situation and maximize the team’s output in the upcoming matches.
